This early photo shows businesses on the south side of Main Street between Gillette and Candee Avenues, Sayville. The William L. Mantha Co. is in the center. On the left is Arata's fruit and vegetable store and to the right is Ramm's Meat Market. Arata's former location is now Cottage & Co. (6 Main Street). Mantha's former location is now occupied by Runaway Bay Books (10 Main Street) and A Basketful (12 Main Street). Stadtmuller Jewelers occupies the former site of Ramm's Meat Market (18 Main Street).
