This view of Main Street looking west shows the firehouse on the
south side
of the road (the first building on the left). The firehouse was designed by
local architect Isaac H. Green Jr. and built in 1887. It was demolished in
1940. The spire left
of center is the Methodist Church
located on the southwest corner of Greene Avenue and Main Street.
