| Reading Your E-Mail |
|
| There are three ways to read your
SuffolkWeb e-mail: Twig, telnet and an e-mail program. |
|
|
Twig |
|
| VIRUS WARNING: Twig allows you to open attachments and run them
on your computer. If you do not know what an attachment contains or who it is from, delete
it. If you open it, and it is a virus, it will infect your computer. Twig is a graphic mail program on the SuffolkWeb server. Twig allows you
to view graphic and multimedia files using a Windows or Apple personal computer. If you
use Twig it is your responsibility to delete your mail after you have read it, since it is
stored on the SuffolkWeb mail server. We recommend using this method to read your
SuffolkWeb e-mail on the Library's publicly available computers. |

SuffolkWeb Mail |
|
|
SW Mail is a new graphic mail program similar to Twig. Some people have
said that they like it more than Twig because of it's ease of use. As in
Twig opening up files can lead to infecting your computer with a virus,
if you do not know the source of an e-mail message, do not open
attachments and delete the message. |
