This photo shows the first modification to 305 Handsome Avenue, Sayville--opening the enclosed second-floor balcony..  Built in 1916 by George A. Morrison to replace his previous house on the site which was formerly the home of Leander Powell, which Morrison had purchased in 1913. The house at the left is 299 Handsome Avenue.
