Event Details
During the COVID-19 lockdown, reports revealed African-American and Hispanic individuals were disproportionately impacted by the virus while facing higher unemployment rates, and a higher likelihood of working at a job that was considered essential. Many of these workers put the well-being of others before their safety, to maintain normalcy within communities. They are the grocery clerks, sanitation men, neighborhood bodega workers, mail carriers, auto mechanics, electrical linemen, and many more. Join award-winning photographer Harper Bella, as she speaks about her experience commemorating essential workers during the pandemic and shares with us some of the images she captured.
This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting. Please register and include your email address for the zoom link, which will be emailed to all registrants one day prior to the program
