The Climate is changing on Long Island with economic repercussions and influences on our way of life, communities, homes, drinking water, and biodiversity. It's not too late to protect and preserve our communities for future generations.
This program discusses basic climate science and how climate change is affecting the world, focusing on NY and LI. We will discuss what many countries, states, counties, and towns are doing to mitigate the climate crisis, New York state’s new climate legislation that is the most progressive in the country as well as what we can do to facilitate change by our own choices and being active and engaging to our elected officials to implement smart climate policies.
