Come to one or both of these social events, (September 13th and 20th), meet other community minded people and knit or crochet a baby blanket for a young mom or mom-to-be. All blankets will be donated to the Suffolk County Department of Social Services for distribution. Bring your own yarn and knitting needles/crochet hooks to create the blanket. Blanket dimensions must be approximately 30”x30" and made of acrylic yarn. No adornments or embellishments attached, as these blankets will go to infants. Do you prefer to make a blanket at home and drop it off at the library? If so, drop off newly knitted/crocheted blankets by September 20^th.

Teens that participate will receive community service credit.
