The New David Espinoza, by Fred Aceves
David Espinoza is tired of being bullied at school. At the end of junior year, a video of him getting knocked down goes viral. David decides he's going to join the local gym for the summer and spends all his time working out and getting friendly with the regulars. But there's a dark side to working out so much and getting big so quickly and David vows to do whatever it takes to get stronger. There are very few teen fiction novels focused on steroid abuse and male body dysmorphia. This was an easy and enjoyable read!
